11-2005
Drexel’s Athletic Department today unveiled a Public Service Announcement that will promote the SquashSmarts after school youth program. The Service Announcement will air on Philadelphia’s WFIL AM-990 during forty-two Drexel men’s and women’s basketball games.
“This comes at a great time for us and will provide tremendous exposure for our mission,” says SquashSmarts director Stephen Gregg. “Drexel Basketball has reached spectacular heights on court, and we’re thrilled to be aligned with two such high quality teams,” Gregg adds referring to the Drexel women’s basketball team which recently earned their 300th career victory, and to the men’s basketball team which garnered national attention during their 78-68 loss to number one-ranked Duke University at the pre-season N.I.T. in Madison Square Garden. “Drexel University continues to be a key partner, and Drexel's student-athletes are excellent role-models for our kids. It’s a perfect match.”
